I know it sure ain't rocket science but for anyone experiencing it.
I have had mine for several weeks now and once installed I kept the supplied Allen wrench in the glove compartment...good move.
It loosened up on me rather quickly. I'm sure I tightened it conservatively the first time so...understood.
The second time one of the set screws had backed out about half way (and I had tightened the screws pretty securely this time, or so I thought). When I got home I broke out the thread sealer (Blue LocTite in my case) and juiced up the screws. I found that tightening them alternately, back and forth several times, that they turned in quite a bit more than when I only tightened each one a time or two. I feared stripping the threads in the gear knob on the first two occasions, this time I wasn't too concerned but still practiced some caution.
So far no more loosening....but I'm keeping the wrench in the car.
FWIW
