Storage Box Emblem - "FIN"

After looking at the interior of the Z8, and as you face the rear, I had noticed that there is a "Z8" Roundel type emblem that is between the driver and passenger seats, kind-of looks distinctive....

So I was thinkng, what if our cars had an emblem as well...Everytime, I look into the car from the front looking back, it's all black. There is no aluminum trim or BMW emblems or anything. I was contemplating on affixing either:

a) A slightly smaller size "Z4" emblem,
b) A "S M G" emblem, (similar to the one I just installed),
c) A "B M W" emblem, or
c) A smaller size "Roundel"....

So what do all think?? Is it to gaudy?

Also, if someone has done this simple mod already, please post any pics you may have?

Interesting idea.... it is a little plain, with lots of plastic.

IDK what would look good, but I'd definitely vote against any more roundels...
 
Sounds like you want something shiny and perhaps a bit unobtrusive...could work. Not too shiny though, maybe more 'flat', like polished aluminum. Are you talking about the area of the center compartment between both seats? The one that folds down?
I concur with inSTg8r though: no more roundels please :D
 
To many Roundels on the car already to be honest i would leave it as is the interior on the Z4 is spot on in my book stylish but not flash.

I would remove all badges from my car if i could as i like a nice clean look.

Yaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzir! I put an overlay over the blue part of the roundel.

I didn't do this on my newer Z4 (you know, the one I don't have.), but I did debadge my "Z4" emblem off the deck lid and attached it to the dash. I don't have a pic of that to post right now though.

I had removed the entire back panel when I installed the Alpine MP3 player and Nav unit in the compartment. I also keep a .380 on the top shelf and extra clip in the lid. CC permits rule.

.... So thats what that Velcro strap on the lid is for... :D

I agree that the added emblem should be either "polished" or "brushed" Aluminium.... :thumbsup:

Hmmm...Great idea...:thumbsup: The symbol....of the Knights of the "Roundel"...I meant the Roundtable....lol
Now, I just need to locate a company that does "etching" or "laser engraving" on thin aluminium sheets....
 
You can tell that I am new to Z4s, but will you tell me what the device on the lid of the storage compartment is that is in the photo? Is it a cell phone? Looks odd to me, and what is the blue handled device? Maybe it is a magic wand? I need a new wand… the Wizard

The item on the lid that is velcroed to the storage lid, is actually a cell phone that looks like a magazine clip for a pistol, and the blue thing, it appears to be a pen, or maybe not... :D
 
it's a clip for his .380

the blue handled object looks like a multi purpose screwdriver, but probably wrong on that
 
Besides the BMW Performance Center pen, the other "device" isn't a device at all. It is a 9 shot clip for my .380 semi-auto negotiating tool.
