Stone chip touch up obvious

Great post guys.

IM also wanting to repair mine. Not sure if there are too many as i prefer not to respray the bonnet. Any pointers....i was looking to start the long process of filling then getting someone to wet sand...

How many chips would u suggest is too much for the processes mentioned above?

I must admit it looks easy In the write up but I wouldn't dare have a go myself I could see me ending up with a rat rod lol.

You can also use the Festood de-nibber tool to 'shave' the blob and then polish the area - the de-nibber is designed to do this without damaging the surrounding paintwork and is used in paintshops to remove blobs/dust specks etc.

Just reading up about this product, I never knew such a thing existed. Its looks a bit pricey at £46+, but looks like it would cut down on the damage that an amateur like me might cause to the surrounding paintwork

I'm not so sure, with the paper I use you would have to be an idiot to cause any damage, and wet sand the area for about 30 minutes. I think you could easily put a nice scratch down your paint with one of those if your not careful.

I've got a few more chips to fill in so will do a write up on my wet sanding.
