The thing I don't get with this find my iPhone thing is that all the person has to do is switch the phone or tablet off! Even when locked you can press and hold the off button and hey presto it's off and all of the GPS and photo software won't be working...

If the phone was stolen a while back, would the owner not have reported it after which the provider bricks the phone and no data transmission will take place?
