Stolen hood badge

Someone stole my front bumper badge. All that was left is a chrome bezel and some double sided tape. Anyone know the part number to replace the logo?

I've seen alot of listings on ebay for replacements, but they all have posts on them. Mine appears to be flat. I could cut them off but it makes me suspicious that they are the wrong part.

I will add a picture in a moment.

here is what you need http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part?id=LL52-EUR-01-2012-E89-BMW-Z4_28i&mg=51&sg=15&diagId=51_7179&q=51147044207

If it wasn't bolted on it possibly just fell off! The cold weather could have caused the sticky tape to fail.

Sorry for the late reply, heres a pic of the bezel thats left behind. Theres no spot for the posts to go.

That’s the part that’s attached by posts to its rear

Yep, only half the badge is gone.
The new badge will come with a new bezel so you will need to take that off.

You still have half of the emblem remaining. That silver part is the base, you just lost the metal logo that the glue is supposed to hold onto. If it's any consolation, it was almost certainly just the glue failing and the badge flying off rather than someone vandalising your car.

I'd just order a new one from the dealer (£35~), there is no replacement for the originals when it comes to emblems. You would be lucky to get a year out of an eBay knock-off.

You need to open the bonnet and reach underneath the emblem to remove the screw holding it on, it can be tricky and you need to be really careful not to drop the nut. Just be aware that the emblem fitting varies between the EU market and the US market. I think with American cars the badge just pops into place like it did on other BMW models.

Edit: I see you are from California. Pretty sure your emblem fixing will just pop into place, you can remove the old one by putting some strong packing tape over it and sharply tugging away from the car. The logo should just pop out.
