Stock grill or not?

OK, so somebody backed into my wife's '04 2.5 and broke a grille tooth.
Dealer says the correct grille should be chrome. Does that mean completely chrome? Hers is black with a chrome trim ring. Is this the stock grille or aftermarket? Bought this from a private party last year (first one we've ever had so it's all new to me.) I can buy all black aftermarket but if I do will the trim ring be guaranteed to snap on? (Yeah I know)
If somebody can fill me in I'd appreciate it.

Probably black with a chrome ring. However, it would help to know more details about the car as they changed somewhat between models and over the years. Giving model year and engine size at a minimum would help.
 
just go with which ever one looks better. I have a 3.0 so mine is silver with a chrome trim, and i'm pretty sure the 2.5 gets the black grill. But i want to get one that is completely chrome, as they give the car a nice prestigious look at night. :wink:

as for "will after market just snap in" - theres no guarantee's - it all depends on what quality you buy and where you buy it from
 
Any 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 or ///M are black with chrome outer, only 2.0i and 3.0si are crome silver inners, but fit what you want mine are all black
