My Z is home with me after being stranded at Seattle BMW with a failed water pump- I took it to a local Euro shop when I arrived home (YAY!) Their estimate for the rest of the repairs was nearly half of BMW and they come very highly recommended. I really like to support small local business. They are going to service the transmission, do a pressure test on the coolant system and a (DYE test?) because there may be an oil leak, and replace struts, springs, and bushings.
While I am a little sad about all the unexpected issues, I am excited to have my struts, springs and bushings replaced! I thought it was fun when it handled horribly and road so rough. I know with RFT it will still be rough- maybe I'll consider other tires after I pay for my repairs.
You may all get a kick out of this though- I live in Western United States. It will be 2 more weeks before my car will go into the shop because they had to order my springs from Germany
Thank you all for being so welcoming!
