Still got leaky door problem :(

I've had the car in at BMW for a new door membrane as the old one was torn and leaking. They've had it back serveral times due to their shoddy workmanship and not sealing it properly (By their own admission). However, it is still leaking but they are now telling me it's most likely another problem causing the leak now, although the leak is in exactly the same place at the bottom of the door card! They will most likely charge me a lot of money for investigation work (so they have told me) if I take it back in. Now, I think they have just done yet another shoddy job and I'm tempted to take the door card off to have a look at their (less than) handy work. How easy is this to do? And how likely is there to be another problem causing this leak? I can really do without another bill after the cost of sorting the alarm :x

So is the leak coming through the actual door card? As in water getting down past the window, through the door card and into the cabin?! If so then I doubt it should be happening at all, are the drains in the bottom of your door blocked? There's a layer of foam sound insulation behind the door that would stop any minor droplets from the window etc. getting into the cabin.

I had a small leak from the top of the passenger window where it meets the roof, a good coating of einszett gummi pflege to recondition all the rubbers around the door sorted that out though - could be worth a try? (it's good practice to treat the rubbers anyway even if they aren't giving you a problem - keeps them fresh)

Well, the problem was definitely the door membrane originally as it was badly torn and patched up with gaffa tape. But I have had BMW replace the membrane since. First couple of times I took it back they admitted they hadn't sealed the new membrane properly. Now they are saying it's likely to be something else. Basically they want to charge me more money!
