Still after an E89 Red Zed in Manual

Just on the off chance that someone out there has a red E89 they might be thinking of selling - originally was after a 30i but happy to consider any model even an 18i ( can be remapped ) - preferably a solid red but metallic red on the right car is okay - been considering alternatives like a red TT TFSI and even restoring an old red Z3 but the E89 really suits my " frame" so I might as well hang on till I can get what I really want . Mileage has to be below 60k and year between 2009 and 2013 and be an unmolested original car . As most people know I live on the IOW so the North and Scotland not really practical .

Can't believe you're struggling for a red E89 even giving your location :? right now there are 21 red E89s for sale on AutoTrader under 60k 2009-2013 :? A mix of engines , gearbox , trim colour & spec
You need to get off the island with your wallet & don't go back until you find one :D

I have been looking at AT for a long time - the first one has been advertised for some time - when I was looking for an E85 a few years ago I travelled to this dealer to see a 3.0SE described as original and immaculate - it was neither so not impressed with this dealer. The second one is in Doncaster and the third is an automatic - over the past year have travelled long distances only to be disappointed . Okay I admit to being picky - perhaps my ideal car doesn't exist but occasionally good genuine cars do come up.

I have enquired on this one and asked if they can email me a close up video before I set off again - they were going to get back to me but have not done so yet.

Still looking! Blimey gov, I reckon you need to compromise just a little - at this rate you will be missing the boat on petrol engines!!

You're probably right Marlon  and I admit to being a car salesman's ( or woman ) nightmare but when dishing out thousands in cash I reckon I have a right to be picky - the best cars I have found in the past have been private sales.

I prefer to buy privately, not just because you tend to get a better deal but you can get an impression from meeting the owner of how the car has been treated.

Good luck finding one OP. (And if red is what you want I can see why you would hold out for it - I still miss my Imola Red E46).

What about if you was to pick 5 private cars from AT and come back to this thread with locations you may perhaps get forum volunteers to go and view them first for you and then they can report back to you
