stiff door handle

well during that heat wave last month i noticed that i really had to lift the drivers side outdoor handle to get it open, only happened when i parked it in such a way that the sun was blasting on the drivers side all morning. when its in the shade and normal temp it opens with no problem. its not bothering me much i just dont want it to fail on me anytime soon!

has anyone else had the problem or know what might be causing it, was guessing expansion but im no expert
 
Hi, my driver side door is the same, don't think 3 in 1 will help. It's a stretched cable.

but if it was a stretched cable wouldnt it not work all the time... most of the time my door opens with ease!!
 
My drivers door opens better when cold. I will be ordering a Bowden cable asap and fitting it myself.

It's the door handle carrier, £60 from BMW and about an hour to fit.

I just had mine changed for fear of the thing breaking this winter. Mine was worse when left in direct sunlight as it heats up the plastic carrier, which flexes when you pull the handle.
