So, I had slight sticky steering when driving at motorway speeds, so I decided to try and fix it without getting a slipped disc.
First, I lubricated the UJ steering joints. When I took the header off, I noticed they were very stiff to manipulate. I used a proprietary silicon spray in situ to lubricate them.
The second thing I did was wait for the car to sit in the sun to warm up, and then I did full lock to lock five times, holding on the stop or just before for five seconds each time.
It might be luck, but it seems a lot better now!
