Hi all,
I've noticed my dipstick takes quite a lot of effort to remove before it finally pops free. It seems to stick at the red handle rather than lower down the tube. I'm able to twist it a little bit while it's stuck.
After wiping and reinserting, it then comes out easily when I take it back out to check the oil level. However the next time I check the oil level (after a few driving cycles) it's difficult to remove again.
I've also noticed that the oil filler cap can be slightly difficult to twist off at times.
Could this be a symptom of a failing CCV system causing excessive crankcase vacuum, or old dipstick rubber that's welding itself onto the tube after some heat cycles?
No warning lights on the dash.
Appreciate any advice on how to fix this.
Thanks.
