Sticker residue

i just came up with the ultimate sticker residue remover - a little spritzer bottle filled with white spirit. Simply spray the residue, leave to sit for a minute then wipe off with a bit of kitchen paper.

If only check engine lights were as easy to deal with... :-?

Thanks for the suggestions one and all, my daughter is going to pop round with the car on Thursday as she’s off work and we are gonna give a polish etc so I will have a go at the sticker then and report back. Probably try WD40 in the first instance.

So finally got to the sticker today. Removing the cap didn’t appear to be as simple as I thought, so we tackled it in place. Rubbed WD40 on it as best we could a couple of times. Then basically my daughter worked on it with a finger nail for a fair while and it’s pretty much gone. There are a couple of marks on the cap, probably where somebody tried to remove it before but it looks much better 👍47A80B4D-F9DE-44C0-B608-1BAFD566EC50.jpeg

I use Autosmart Tardis, but if you nip to Halfords then Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover should do the job of removing tar and adhesive

So after finding some sticker residue on the paintwork during a clean today I just sprayed some autoglym fast glass onto a microfiber cloth and gave it a firm buff and came off like a treat!

Had read about the WD40 but didn't have any so I'm glad this did the job. Really well as well.
