But I've been struggling to clarify wiring colours for my base stereo system; since it seemed like mine weren't matching with what others had experienced. Over on Bimmerforums I think it was, I found a link to a google drive which turns out to belong to (I believe) @mac27040 here on the forum.
He's got a document with I think all wiring diagrams for the E85 and on pages 57-61 there are the stereo wiring diagrams for each stereo option. Super useful and exactly the information I've been looking for - so just posting this here in case anyone else finds it useful.
Also worth noting that the entire Google Drive has loads more information, so definitely worth a look! Hopefully he's okay with me posting it up
