Stereo Upgrade

Hi all,
I have a 2006 zed, with the M Sports pack. Steering wheel has all the buttons for phone etc but no facility on the stereo.
Question is can you upgrade the stereo system and will the functions work? The alternative is the iPhone docking mod but I'm a hammer and adjustable type of gut at DIY.

As far is i know you can change radio stations and change CD tracks via the MFSW controls,are you expecting it to do more?

Yea I was hoping to use the phone facility via the wheel? Was wondering if it's as simple as updating the radio fitted.
