I'm looking at changing my head unit and seen the adapter surrounds on the net ya can buy so a standard head unit will fit, there seems to be a couple of designs of adapter though unless it's just the images they use.

Has anyone fitted a standard size head unit and adpapter? i'd like to see some pics of installs

Yep fitted one im my car the trim was cheap i think i only paid about £12.00 from my local BMW dealer you will need an areal adaptor as well, it is all easy to fit the only tricky bit is the removel of the air vents but onec they are out it is plane sailing, good luck

Thanks, yeah i already know about the ariel adapter and steering wheel cotrol adapter etc, i just want a look at the options on adapter as i'm sure i've seen some that curve and stick out and flush ones??

I'm waiting on delivery of an Alpine CDE-126BT from Car Audio Direct. Also ordered a facia from them so will post some pics when it's fitted. They had a couple of different options to choose from.

If you did a search you would find most of these images have reproduced on this very several times before.
But never here we go again.

And the adapter looks like this

It is in 2 pieces and needs seperating before fitting.

anyone any idea's where i can get this facia in Black to match the vents. just received one and it's gunmetal colour and matches nothin :/
