Have a look at this, it means you lose you cd multi changer, I had it my E85, worked a treat - https://www.dension.co.uk/dension-gateway-300-gw33bm4-ipod-iphone-usb-interface-adaptor-for-bmw-and-mini.html

Cheap way is to add a bluetooth receiver via the aux input (you would need to add the aux input but easy enough). See my post at the bottom of this thread for everything you need... https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=106034&hilit=mpow

Another cheap way, is to get a FM - Bluetooth Transmitter, it just plugs into your lighter, and you tune into a frequency. I've had pretty good results from that in my Astra.. however I think it depends on the area you drive through for interference. Maybe worth a shot for < £20

Get a parrot bluetooth hands free device / kit. I was fortunate and had mine pre-installed by a previous owner. The ipod sits in the glove box, permanantly (click wheel is broken) so found a good new home for it! So music is all availabe, the phone (for calls and music) connects through bluebooth. Not sure about CD player as mines never ejected the stack. So not sure if this device replaces the CD player or is an addition to it. Never use CD's anyway with the ipod's infinitly greater selection available :)
