Hey all, hope everyone's doing well!
So I'm in the process of changing my head unit to a double DIN and I've got the relevant adaptor harness kit from Connects2 to enable this new stereo to fit with the BMW factory quadlock connection. However, I cannot for the life of me see how this is supposed to connect.
The first photo here shows the BMW car-side harness connection on the left, with the adaptor harness from Connects2 on the right:

It looks like the pins of the adaptor are supposed to go into the locations where the blue blanking plates are, as that's where all the pins from the BMW harness are.
Is that correct? Do those blue pieces come out? Or this just the wrong adaptor? They've given me a second adaptor in the kit in case the first isn't compatible, but this looks even more wrong
:

Secondary questions:
- How do the those pins in the BMW harness connect to the original stereo if they're blanked off?
- What is the white connector used for, in the BMW harness? It looks there's no connection in the adaptor harness for it.
Thanks in advance for any help!
