Can anyone confirm for me that I'm thinking correctly here. The pre facelift Steptronic cars are all 5 speed, whilst the SMG are 6 speed... The facelift Steptronic cars are all 6 speed and no SMG available..?

I can confirm the facelift auto is 6 speed not sure about rest of your question

... No SMG post facelift. I believe all the pre-facelift engines were 5 speed, but have been wrong before...

Correct. No paddles on pre-facelift either (except SMG).

Correct. No paddles on pre-facelift either (except SMG).

As Mike says there is indeed. My oh my that was 4 years ago.

Since then I moved the paddles over to an///M wheel, so they can also be fitted to any standard wheel with a bit of thought.
