Steptronic Paddles

Afternoon all,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to or had converted the left paddle to shift down only when pulled and disabled the rocker on both when pressed forward to change down.

I know it is much more convenient having both paddles able to shift up and down but somehow it just feels wrong pushing forward with your (my) thumb to shift down.

Any thoughts or strong feelings onw way or the other on the subject?

Always been interested in this but not sure I'd be happy messing with the wiring until my warranty expires.

Had a quick look on other forums and found this thread which seems useful...

If this is correct...

Left Paddle Connector
_______
3-------|<--downshift (press)
2-------|<--ground
1-------|<--upshift (squeeze)
_______|
____|

Right Paddle Connector
____
____|___
1-------|<--downshift (press)
2-------|<--ground
3-------|<--upshift (squeeze)
_______|

... then I guess it would just be a case of swapping pins 1 and 3 on the left-hand paddle.

i very rarely use my paddles and can't even think how they do work, but i would have 1 to change up and 1 to change down
