My favourite stepson,he makes me say that, bought a 3 year old 1 series from Exeter BMW today and i am amazed that a BMW Approved Used Car can come with four different makes of tyres on it.One Conti, one Dunlop a Falken and something else i have never heard of !! They are all legal but it just seems very wrong to me.Your opinions would be appreciated.

Take it back! Insist on manufacture spec tyres as this is what they insist on when traded in!

Ye as AUC it should come with BMW recommended tyres so the Falkens and the one youve never heard of shouldn't be on it. I would take it back. Sometimes they try and be cheeky and let these things slip so they make more money out of the vehicle. Are all the tread patterns the same!?

Before you go, find some report that refers to the dangers of running different makes of tyres. Whilst being road legal, ask them to respond in writing from their legal team by questioning what their position would be if there was a subsequent accident & the police were to state having different makes of tyres contributed to what transpired.

Best of luck...

Good call, at the very least they should be the same make and type on the fronts and the same make and type on the rears.

Glad to hear that i am not being ridiculous about this;i have e mailed the dealership and BMW customer services for him and will see what happens.Luckily he doesn't take delivery of it until September 3rd.
