Good afternoon all,

My stepson, Liam, decided to grow an 80’s Mullet with the aim of having it shaved off to raise money for Cancer Research UK, being 6’2” and ginger he stood out somewhat!

He did this with a couple of friends, but personally took the initiative to contact Tom Dunn, a professional Rugby player with Bath & England Rugby, to ask him to come to his school and shave their heads. Tom, a purveyor of many interesting hair styles himself, agreed and this event happened yesterday!

First Tom battered Liam on the ‘Gladiator’ challenge;

And then he shaved Liam’s, two friends and the P.E. teacher’s heads!

Liam’s story is below, Mod’s I hope this is ok;

Ok, Have I breached some sort of forum etiquette….. ?

I appreciate he hasn’t swum the channel, and the photo’s all look ‘good fun’, but the lad’s had a hard time over the last few years and his mum’s (our) fight is likely a lifelong one that will continue to impact his childhood.

I’m proud of his fundraising, even if it was achieved by looking like a Ginger ‘Hoff’ for a few months and getting his head shaved.

Massive thanks to Tom Dunn :thumbsup:

No, I just think people are not so easily parted with money at the moment. Its a great cause... I'll donate! :thumbsup:

Done!

Thank you ever so much :thumbsup: , but it’s not even really about the money… set himself a target of £500 and has smashed it. 8)

I’m just surprised there’s so few positive comments after so many reads.

I am sorry to hear about your Partner, Well done to your step son for taking up the challenge.

As a bath rugby fan myself its nice to see Tom come along for the cause and get involved.

I hope your Partner beats this horrible disease and best of luck with everything.

Give them a chance, it's early yet. There is no doubt that he did well and is to be congratulated as all Cancer charities need as much money as possible. It is not always easy to appreciate the trauma associated with cancer in a family. Well done to him and his 2 pals.

Fair play to him and for a cause very close to both your hearts :thumbsup: Great he’s finding his own way to get involved and feel he’s doing something for his mum :D you’ll all be very proud of him

Slight aside, my wee fella pays £15 to get his hair cut like that every few weeks, his ma is a hairdresser and so is my OH, go figure :headbang:
