steering wobble

Hi all.....so, still suffering from a steering wobble, although some what better I would like to get to the bottom of it. Sometimes it is hardly noticeable, depending on the road surface I guess. It can be also felt when braking List of things I have changed:

Front tyres with tracking
lollipop bushes
outer tie rod
front shocks and mounts
ball joint and arm
no play in rack according to local garage

Going to swap wheels front to back just to check for any buckles etc......is it worth changing inner tie rod ends - can they wear?

Is it at all speeds? I had something similar and it was intermittant, turned out to be a sticking brake caliper pinching the disk.

Are you on OEM wheels? If you haven't already I would 110% get the wheel balance looked at, make sure they balance both inner and outer edges of the wheels.

Yes...you can feel it at all speeds. Really notice able if you undi the steering wheel adjuster leve. Hole column seems to shake. What's the best way to check the calipers?

Are you on OEM wheels? If you haven't already I would 110% get the wheel balance looked at, make sure they balance both inner and outer edges of the wheels.

I have 108's, 18 inch. Front weights where done when the tyres were changed. Would out of weight wheels cause a shudder when braking tho?

I should add all looks tight when on the ramp wobble plates MOT garages use. No play anywhere.

Starting to think it might be the rack - again, wheels move with gentle movement on the steering wheel.

No, previous owner binned them. Just popped out and onething I can test being an auto is applying the brake while still driving - this seems to create the wobble more. Although, still there without braking.

Could be a sticking caliper Sharpyboy stated (god your names are close) jack the front of the car and turn the wheels, they should feel free. If you have a warped disc and the brakes are binding, this could give you the wobble. I think 108s are staggered so he rears are wider, not sure how this will work if you try and swap them around.
I know the tyres are new, but while you have the front jacked up, just check that they are running true when you spin them, I have known new tyres to run out.

After a decent drive check the temperature of the alloys, if a caliper is sticking the wheel will be a lot hotter than the rest due to the extra friction caused by the sticking.

Update:

Looks like disks/pads are to blame. Jacked the car up and although the wheels spin there is a scoring noise. There is some signs of splitting on the pads too. Also, when on full lock the passenger wheel is really tough to move - very odd.

Anyway.....anyone recommended decent disks and pads? and what I should expect to pay.

Discs vary from £40+ to £70 each, my two rears were about £50 each and pass are between £20+ and £60+ pair depending if you prefer named brands or not. Try eurocarparts they usually have some discount offers going on.

Then try carparts4less, owned by Eurocarparts but cheaper..

Finally sorted....

New front disks and pads, plus front wheels rebalanced - 46g out each side.
