Steering whine.

My car is making a hydraulic pump whining noise when I turn the steering wheel - it has electric power steering so I’m at a loss as to what it might be! I’ve greased the two UJ’s on the column which did nothing.

Grease the teeth on the steering rack.

Does it have a nipple do you know?

It does not. Pull the rubber boot back turn the steering all the way one way to expose the teeth and lube them with some good wheel bearing grease.
