Steering wheel

As a new owner i have two questions regarding the steering wheel......

1. Is there anyway of imrpoving the look of the pieces at 3 and 9 'o'clock i.e. any cleaners, etc i have improved them greatly but was wondering if there are any specific tips?

2. At some point in my M's life someone has pressed the centre of the steering wheel badge in, can this be removed and if so how?

Hi

The steering wheel plastics have a rather fragile surface. all you can do is buy a new set, spray or wrap the old ones.

The badge is a dommed thin alloy. It's held in with 4 clips that wrap inside the airbag and cannot be replaced.
With care you could cut it off completely and replace with a decal or similar. You could replace with a normal badge, but remember if the airbag deploys it may embed in your face :thumbsdown:
