Steering wheel wobble over 60mph

I had meyle hd rear bushes fitted less than a year ago onto the original wishbone. One has now failed. Perhaps a bad batch?

You are right. I have sent a email to B and B components and will see their answer.
However considering I really need the car back serviceable asap, dealer will do the change with OEM.
What was the response from B and B Components as I have the same issue?

I received an answer from "Barry" from B and B Components asking me to return the parts to them for inspection. If they confirm the failure, parts will be exchanged with new ones.
I haven't yet returned the parts because as said, I had my control arms replaced again by BMW and I am not interested to receive another set. Also, considering I live in France, shipping costs is estimated around 30-40 Euros...
So before sending the parts away and have no means to claim anything back, I have contacted directly Meyle and show them the pictures and my last BMW invoice (around 1'000.00 Euros!) to see if they can offer something.
Unfortunately their reply is to deal with the seller...
I took me time to find a suitable package, but I still haven"t sent the box... but I will give it a try and I guess calling them to follow-up.
Good luck to you!

Do you want the arms replaced or refunded? You will have a good claim under the Sale of Goods Act which I believe applies as the seller is based in the UK. What outcome do you want?

I had front, lowerwishbone bush come appart like that before...... Bought some 108s on ebay, "recently refurbished" Ran them for a day or two then the steering went unstable... checked under the car (as had recently put the new bushes in) and the same thing happened..... Put the wheels on a balancing machine and 3 out of the 4 were egg shaped..... So sent the wheels back through ebay and actually managed to push that rubber insert back in on the bush to get me going again...... but as I only had the bushes a short time I got them replaced under part warrenty..... And the lesson for me....... don't buy wheels from ebay unless you can see them spun up on a balancer! ;)

I want a full refund, I don't plan to replace mine before reaching 50k additional miles
I will speak with B and B again.

Andy, that's a scary story with these wheels! They must have been in a very bad shape and poorly refurbished to push the bush out... Was it a private/pro seller?
I think that whatever happens now, I will keep a close look at these bushings...

OK so if you say the goods are faulty and notify the trader within 6 months the onus is on them to prove you have caused the fault, otherwise it is assumed the fault was present at the time of purchase.
Are B&B based in the UK? Do you have a UK address? I would highlight their obligations under the SOGA and tell them if they want to inspect the items they will either have to view in person or collect themselves. Take as many detailed photos as you can.

If the parts are faulty then you have the option to request whatever remedy you want, not what is most convenient for them.

Private seller.... and and described as "refurbed"... Well as soon as you saw them in the flesh they seemed like a poor DIY attempt... so wasnt that happy before I even fitted them.

I thought I would come back here to share on my experience with Meyle and B&B components, after receiving a defective set of wishbone arms:

As I refused to send on my own cost - from France - the arms for warranty inspection, and did not want any replacement set, I had to force the guys at B&B to give me other options. For that I even "threated" them I would report them to Amazon (transaction when though Amazon marketplace) and did also mentioned the Sale of Good Act, lol

They eventually proposed me two options:
- Claim the warranty on parts to Meyle directly, if warranty case confirmed, parts and shipping costs will be completely refund (however this would have involved multiple shipping from France to B&B, then Meyle UK and eventually Meyle Germany - I wondered why this had to be so complicated...).
- Or send the parts to them and they will automatically refund me.

I choose the second option, as the first one seemed just too risky and made no sense.
Parts were shipped and received, money sent back

So in the end, I managed to not loose too much on this, although I eventually used super expensive OEM parts and BMW dealer to install them! :headbang:
