Steering wheel security lock

I have a Disklok that I use with my E86 if I'm concerned about where I have to leave it (which is rare, so the Disklok is gathering dust in my garage).

I got this one from Amazon (couldn't copy the link from there though as it was cheaper)

It fits round the standard wheel without marking it

Probably not, but it's more of a visual deterrent. The little darlings near me are less likely to try and break in on the off chance they could get it started - this is why my insurance is so expensive they watch "Gone in 60 Seconds" and think that cars start that easily

If they're going to steal it, they will get it no matter what deterrent you have in place, visual or otherwise.

You've obviously had a bad experience!

Tell us your story.

I haven't personally had a bad experience so no story to tell. On the other hand, I have known a few acquaintances over the years who have succumbed to losing their pride and joy. The thieves always seem one step ahead of the current security technology and the latest keyless start/keyless entry doesn't do the owner any favours.

I honestly don't think that is a risk criteria that insurance companies take into consideration when assessing your premium. I may be wrong. :?

It's the halfwits that watch that bloody film and try out the techniques to nick your p&j and end up buggering up your car instead - you end up reporting the damage and voila, premiums go up

Its unfortunate we live in a world were people don't respect other folks property. Those days are long gone. But the one condolence is that 99% of the car stealing bums don't know how to drive a stick these days. However, there is the chance they don't look and once in the car realize they can't drive it!!! You may have a broken window etc but least still have your car in this case.

There was a spate where I used to live, where the scrotes would break in and if they couldn't start it, they'd just trash the insides. I hate the f**kers

Disc lock , definitely a good buy , especially if you have keyless entry, clone key through the house windows and away, literally GONE IN 60 SECONDS!!!
