Hi has anyone done a guide on refurbishing a z4m steering wheel ie what products are best for plastics and how to strip down etc sure I have seen one but for the life of me cannot find it
Thanks in advance

Great stuff, my needs a refurb too. Be good if you could post pics of the finished wheel along with any info and products used

will do hopefully will turn out nice 👍🏻

Wheel was purchased so not on zed pretty easy removal of plastics remove bolts on rear then gently manipulate them apart had a couple of broken lugs inside which I have fixed back on.Wheel function buttons another story took apart but could not get the larger rocker switch out so had to mask it off

Yes really pleased with results see how long it lasts with the wife’s rings  3 coats of lacquer should protect it hopefully :D

Very nice work!

Just to show something different, here’s mine

Alcantara and piano black - I had the plastic painted and with multiple clear coats to get a durable deep shine at the same time as I had some aluminium trim painted piano black by a local paint shop

I also got the shifter and the handbrake done but not gotten around to fitting them yet

Hey mate that looks bloody awesome! Where did you get your shift knob from??

Thanks for the comments

I hadn’t really thought about selling that shifter... it was on the car when I bought it, so I have no idea where it was from or what it’s worth. I’ll get some new pics when I get chance and post them up if you like, but don’t want to distract from your original post

I’m actually in Bangkok, Thailand - but should be over to the UK around either June or July, and I’d be willing to bring it over if anyone is interested.
