Looking to get my Steering wheel recovered, either alcantara or smooth leather, heard good things about Royal Steering Wheels.Anyone got any pics and what I would be looking at price wise?

Just sent mine for a Royals refurb and have got a quote of £200 incl. return postage for extra padding, smooth nappa leather top and bottom, perforated nappa leather on sides with black stitching. It will look exactly like this one when done and I'll report back in a few weeks once I receive it.

Definitely go with Royals . Had mine done by them as many others have . Great service and product .

This is what Royal's did to my E89 steering wheel, I got them to slightly thicken it, perforated leather and smooth nappa leather and decided on black thread because it does look grubby after a while. Really good service from them and well worth the money

i haven't got a picture of mine but i went the diy route using a leather stitched cover from mewant on aliexpress. Price seems to have shot up a bit though, pretty sure i only paid around £27 for the genuine leather one.
found this thread that shows what others have done with the same kit - https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=101464

How did it turn out?

Haven't put the trims on it yet as I need to repair them (going to use the epoxy rivnuts method). But here is the wheel back from Royals. Super pleased with it :D

These all look really great. I need to get my tyres changed first but then will look into the wheel.

Apologies for sort of resurrecting a slightly older thread, but for those of you with experience with Royal, were they usually quick to respond?
I've sent them a pretty simple question via email on Monday, and haven't heard back from them at all...

I’ve used them a number of times over the years. Never had a problem with contact or timescale when they have done work for me.

I think it depends on how busy they are . Follow it up with a polite email asking if they have received your previous email as you are desperate to get your steering wheel refurbed :) or call them as has been suggested .

Thanks for the replies, sent a polite follow up, but still nothing. Tried calling them from the Netherlands as well, but both numbers they list on their site seem to be out of use (at least, according to my phone). Can anyone confirm these are the numbers to call?
