Steering Wheel & Radio Controls

I have a 2.0, pretty basic model, with the standard business radio in it, and no radio controls on the steering wheel

has anyone ever added a steering wheel with controls to that kind of model Z car, and was it easy and did it work and control the radio?

I dont mind forking out cash to get the wheel from BMW, just dont want to find that it will not work in the end, or the plan id fundamentally flawed.

I am looking to do the same. I have heard about fitting a retro kit for the steering wheel 125 from bmw.
