Steering Wheel Plastics - paint with what?

Where are you getting it from shrutch? I can't find anywhere where they have black in stock

Bought from Amazon in the end as I had a voucher, but the seller was Pastidip themselves.

Arrived today so that's my job for the weekend doing the grills.

I verified at the weekend that I will need to take my steering wheel off to do mine. I am now quite depressed as that sounds like a long hard job that I am not qualified to execute. My worn buttons now mock me every time I look at them

They must have made a new batch as they had sold out when I tried there. If that doesn't give a good finish, try satin acrylic paint. I used Simoniz (Holts) for a second set of grills I have. Now, depending on my mood, I can have black( ) or chrome( :) ) kidneys.
The only problem I've found is that the brake cooling ducts and the under number plate mesh is less black than my  grills...maybe these are next things to paint...

The finish should be OK, somebody on DW painted a entire MGF with it, end result similar to wrapping.

Will report back over the weekend though.

can we not just get replacement part? Mine are of course nail marked no end and would not mind changing them... can't find the part number on real OEM...

Mine are tatty aswell! I bought some matt black paint a while ago to do them but never got round to it.

Are they definitely removeable once unscrewed? It looks to me like they are but I thought I'd read somewhere that the wheel had to come off.

Cost me £100 for the inner plastic piece for the steering wheel on my E90 same thing happened to it.

But still had it replaced drove me mad.

i did unscrew the other day and the whole shebang looked to come off, i thought (naively hoped...) that it'd just be the bits of plastic...

so i popped outside and sprayed a cat...
