Steering wheel leather colour

Without a doubt, one of the best things I have purchased for the Z4 is a leather dye touch-up stick.

It has transformed the interior, from an eight year old used car to something which looks pretty much new.

I am wondering how I may find out the leather colour of the black steering wheel, to give the steering wheel some similar treatment.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have a link to where I purchased the coral red stick below:

I'd be interested in this too!

I've got a scratch at the bottom of my steering wheel, it's not immediately visible but I can feel it when doing a three point turn and it triggers my OCD, has anyone got a sensible idea on how to get rid (I don't want to replace the wheel as its not visible - it just puts my teeth on edge)!

no idea but wanted to say thanks for the link, my interior is pretty fresh but a wee touch up on the driver bolster wouldn't go amiss

The depth of the scratch would determine how it would be repaired.

Sometimes if it’s shallow you can sand it and re-dye.

If it’s deeper, you can apply leather filler, then sand back + dye.

I may just take a punt on the dakota black...
how much different could it be? Haha

I see they don't list "Kansas Black" (the colour of my E89 leather). Nor indeed does anyone else seem to make a similar product in Kansas Black.
During my search however, I found:

a) Another company whose colour options included a note to the effect that black is black so far as BMW upholstery is concerned.
b) This steering wheel specific product that may be of interest?https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Le...446594116405944d970f|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2334524
