Steering wheel cowling

Since retrofitting the cruise control on my Z I have the original cowling that was replaced from underneath the steering wheel spare.
It hasn't been modified to fit the cruise switch but can apparently be done with a dremel as many of the other forum members have done. I won the full kit on eBay so had a new cowling already.
If it had been prepared for CC from BMW it adds about £70 to the price of the CC kit.
A bit hard to value as obviously you'll already have one of these which you could modify if you wanted but thought i'd test the water. If no one is interested I may see if I can mod it myself and then repost.
How does £20 + p&p sound?

I nearly needed this last week, I managed to arse up the Dremel-ing to the cowel when doing my cruise. But luckily my girlfriend rescued it, it looks fine now.

£20 is a good price as standard but Id imagine you would get a bit more for it if you done an ace job cutting out the hole...

Out of interest did you have the connector already there for the cruise or did you have to fit the wiring loom?

it depends what year you have. pre-facelift come with wires already there, post facelift dont.

and isnt it crap when your girlfriend has to save you from certain failure :poke: :P

Rudd_2002, have to correct you, it's not a facelift issue, as they stopped putting the wiring loom in around Oct 2004 from memory.

I had it fitted at BMW but it did need the wiring to be installed. Won the whole kit on eBay for £80.
