From my mates who do have M cars... and I don't....

Seems silly, plenty of non ///M cars have ///M parts...now exterior body badges on the other hands.

the black stiched wheel is just fine. tbh I think its nicer than the m colour which looks dated on the wheel

It is an ///M wheel, but has silver trim I stead of black with multi function buttons

The black stitched wheel and zhp arent true ///M parts. The zhp are fitted to E46 m sport trim cars and the black stitched wheels are fitted to facelift sport tim E85 so nobody can lag you off for fitting these.

It is but as adamski says, no MFSW or m sport trim

its because M style don't stock the MFSW buttons or black covers for Jonny to pay £1,000 for them :roll:

So, I'm in a bit of a pickle...

Going to get myself an //M wheel, but the question is, do I pay the extra £40 for the tri colour stitching? Or go black? I have a silver E85, so I'm really not sure.

On one hand the three coloured stitching makes it look like a proper //m wheel.

On the other, it does lose a little of it's subtlety..

Opinions welcome.

Out of curiosity, where are you getting it from, and how much?

How much do these M steering wheels sell for?...my steering wheel has no buttons, it would be nice to have volume adjust on the steering wheel, can this be retro fitted?...I read that the early E85 cars had all the wiring in place?

Mine has the M sport multi-function steering wheel, M wheels, M sport suspension and M sport seats (all from new, not retrofits) and it's not a Z4M, it's a 3.0si.

I am not sure why anyone would give me stick for it... and I am certain I wouldn't care anyway... fit whatever you like to your car.

How come Jonny's wheel has non 'M' silver bottom spoke fitted perfectly? I thought the standard bottom spoke trim did not fit the fatter 'M' wheel?

I had the same question - I have a tri colour stitched ///M wheel too - and it doesn't have the two indents in the leather either side of the bottom spoke...?
