Steering wheel controls..

Hi

My 2008 coupe didn't come with bluetooth hands free fitted so I have got an aftermarket one installed. It has however got all the buttons on the steering wheel for the handsfree.

The kit I got (Motorola TK30) is supposed to work with the controls on the steering wheel to answer calls etc. It also had a connector for an iPod/iPhone to plug in. The kit all works fine including the iPod but it does not work with the controls on the steering wheel!

Also when I am playing music from my iPod via the kit the volume controls on the steering wheel don't work as don't the controls on the stereo.

Does anyone know why this may be? It has all the correct connectors for the car. Lastly is it possible the phone controls on the steering wheel are not 'active' as the car was not installed with handsfree?

Oh and when using the stereo (radio/CD) the volume/track controls on the steering wheel work fine :?

I assume you had to purchase an interface kit for your TK30?

Without an interface I can't see anyway of it working with the MFSW controls.

I have the interface kit as without this nothing works! Everything is working apart from the MFSW controls. It would appear that they need activating, but I don't know if this is the case?

10th June sounds good! If I'm not working then I'll be there, will check if I'm off when I go into work later
