Steering Wheel Cleaning

I treat my seats with the BMW leather cleaner every few weeks, but I'm just wondering should I do the steering wheel?

If i did, would it potentially go go shiny?

Secondly, the rubber trim/ seal where the door meets the body and small window on the coupe, has faded slightly. What would be best to rectify this?

I also use leather cleaner/conditioner on leather steering wheel. But it will not make the wheel too shiny.

There is something for rubber/plastic/seal from BMW.

A point of interest about shiny leather. Leather becomes shiny when it is not properly taken care of. Specifically, dirt (for lack of a better word) fills the leather's pores, thus causing a smooth and shinny surface. Cleaning you leather prevents deposits within its pores and thus deters shininess.
