Steering wheel angle sensor

Hello, I'm contacting you hoping to resolve this issue. I have three lights on the dashboard of my 2005 BMW Z4 3.0i Roadster (brake, TPMS, and the small triangle with the arrow, as seen in the image). At first, they were flashing, but now they stay on. I used a scan tool, and it returned the codes shown in the image, highlighted in yellow. I checked forums and ChatGPT, and everything points to it being the steering angle sensor, but I want to be sure. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Steering angle sensor has no correlation with the tyre pressure light so that’s a bit odd.

Use live data reading to check if your angle senor is 0 degree at center, second, check if the reading is correct when you turn the wheel.

If the data is not correct, the brush in the angle sensor may worn out, you can simply change it.

Here's how to change them, you can buy E60 steering angle brush, very cheap like 10 USD. it's even eaisier to do that on E85 compared to E46

DSC+brake+TPMS is the combination of lights that typically indicates either 5E38 yaw/lateral acceleration sensor, or 5E40 steering angle sensor. It has nothing to do with tyre pressures per se.

DSC+Brake+Traction Control has always been the combination I've seen.
I have not seen the TPMS unless it's a wheel speed sensor.
Up until this point I've never seen the TPMS with a SAS issue, but you obviously have, so I'll defer to you.

In my own experience it’s DSC+brake+TPMS which is an indicator of 5E40, however I have seen others report ABS+DSC+brake as indicators of SAS faults or ABS/DSC pump failure (the latter with code 5DF0).

Please describe the lights that you have seen (I think of DSC and traction control as the same thing - exclamation mark inside a triangle inside a circular arrow). Perhaps you mean DTC, which I've not seen in a fault context.

I did spend some time trying to compile a list of fault codes vs warning light combinations, but haven’t got it quite there yet. If anyone else has any inputs to this, please let me know.
