Steering rack boot rings

Hi there!

Over the winter, I’m planning to do some basic maintenance tasks like greasing the steering rack. I’m wondering if a simple jubilee clip would be sufficient for this job, or should I use CV joint clips instead?

Also, what kind of grease would be best for this task?

I purchased the cv clips and the tool to install them for not much money, looks much better than a cable tie or a jubilee clip if you ask me, as for grease I used bmw power steering rack grease cost about £10 a tube, but you could probably use any old grease as that would certainly be better than no grease left at all which is what my rack had

I used NLGI-2 rated grease and zip ties, been good for the last 4 years.
