2004 Z4 2.5L Steering dash light is on and power steering stopped working. On two occasions the light went out and steering restored. Anyone have knowledge on this issue and a possible solution? Thank you.
I've seen this with low battery voltage before, once it gets back to a healthy voltage the steering light goes away and power steering is restored. Maybe start by checking that?
Hmm, that’s a good possibility. I am restoring the car and only drive it around the block once every week or two. I do put it on a trickle charger on occasion but maybe it’s not quite enough. Thanks for your input!
