Steering Issue

My (new to me) Z4 likes to pull to the left, then for a while it will steer fine, then pull a little to the right, then pull abruptly to the left, then it will try to straighten itself out when I turn left or right. The guy who sold it to me said the steering is "tuned" to right itself back to straight.

Should I be concerned?
 
Do you have runflat tyres (they are fitted as standard) on the car... if so do a search lots of advice on the forum.. Many have swapped over for a better ride.
 
I have run flat tires on my z4. I also had a BMW dealer replace all worn steering components. I have only noticed a very slight tramlining just before stop lights on heavily traveled blacktop roads that have ruts from heavy trucks. Is this what you are noticing? See below.

I do not have runflat tires on my car. I do not believe I would call it tramlining. I did not experience the same steering difficulties with my Corolla on the same roads I'm driving my Z4 on.
 
Oh dear, I hope it's not the known sticky steering issue? , does this happen when the car is hot & you've had the heater on?

Alloys are 17". Front left looks like it could be low. Need to find one of my tire pressure gauges. Shouldn't one of the dash lights tell me if the air pressure is low in any of the tires? There is a button to push related to tire pressure, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

As far as the car temperature... this is happening when the engine is still cold, whether I have the heater on or not. Keep in mind, temps in N Carolina have been in the teens (F) lately.
 
The button resets the wheel speed sensors. It does not actually measure tire pressure. Just difference in wheel speed. A lower tire revolves more then a properly inflated one. You are suppose to reset the system with the button any time you change tire pressure. Check the owners manual.
 
Quick update, each tire was about 5lbs low. I'll be out for a drive tonight with my bride to see how it handles. LeonSp, thanks for the tip - I'll be sure to reset that button before we take off. Found the owners manual in the trunk next to a tool kit behind the battery. I thought I was going to have to download a .pdf
