Steering issue

Evening all,

Car has developed a steering issue. Upon startup, a rattle is heard with a loud noise occurring when trying to turn left or right and heavy steering. Will check for leaks and fluid level in the morning. Fault has occurred with no warning signs.

Bummer, leak in the region where the cooler is located

I imagine I need a new steering line/pump as a minimum.

Hopefully an inexpensive fix, ive had the PS parts off mine a few times when fitting supercharger bits and it seems like a reasonable DIY..... have a go yourself if you weren't already.

Thanks, I checked the fluid level the day after and it needed 300ml of steering fluid to fill it back up after bleeding and it drove fine with no noise from the pump. Car is now in the garage for a new cooler line with Vibra Technics engine mounts. The original line has corroded with pin holes present in the aluminium pipes.
