Steering EPS

Hello Z4 community

I am new to the forum so forgive me if this is a repeat question.

So I have an interesting issue with my 06 2.5si auto Z4. The steering works perfectly no sticking no play on the rack ETC, but while driving on the freeway precisely between 100KPH to 120KPH the steering wheel moves gently left and right without my input there are no vibrations or knocking. The tyres are new and balanced wheel bearing are good control arms have been replaced recently, could there be a problem with the some part in the EPS system. I would love to hear if anyone has had the same experience.

Thank you in Advance

Hi Zeddy,

Did you replace the lollipop bushings (the ones at the rear end of the front lower arms) when you replaced the control arms themselves? I have a similar behaviour on my car and know my lollipops are past their prime so I assume it comes from them and not the EPS.

If anyone else could advise on that to help both Zeddy and myself I would appreciate

Very good question I’ll check on that thanks I know they changed the control arms. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€žhopefully it’s as simple as that and not the EPS PC board 😳😒
