I had the lower cowl off the steering column a the weekend and found this spare 4 pin plug wired with 3 wires (Brown with black trace, blue and purple/yellow).

Does anyone know what it's for? Cruise control, multi function wheel, other?

Cheers guys - I like certainty. I hate the thought of installing cruise control and the boot opening when I set the speed..... :)

PVR - yep an '03' plate, mid 2003

Where's your sense of adventure!? ;)

You probably don't need any more reassurance, but.......it is for sure the cruise control plug as I fitted it to mine last week!

For £150 I feel it's the best thing I've ever doen to the car (other than removing the foam from the sound resinator!). It really is dead easy to do, the fiddliest part was relocating the new cowling. Between me and a mate it took us ten minutes tops.

Cheers.

E's dad.

+1

Still can't quite believe the stealer wanted £150 quid to fit it...

OK - got it - cruise control - cheers

No nasty surprises on the road for me, but how about:

Powerboat racing in a twin hull...

Driving down a 15 foot waterfall in my Jeep....

or perhaps driving out of a bit of a gulley somewhere in France....yes I did drive out just with the winch to make it look even better for the camera...

and finally back in the water - I'm more under than rafting in this shot....

Theres no limit to stupidity than I'm prepared to try in the name of sport..... :D :D

That Jeep looks an amazing vehicle! Tremendous fun.
How does it compare to a Land Rover in terms of off road capability?

Both Jeeps are very capable. The Teal one is the most capable in UK off road conditions, the other more for rock crawling

Equipped with 35" tyres, air lockers, winches front and rear, internal and external roll cages and extensive custom suspension is fairly unstoppable. In fact it's a well built challenge vehicle. Is it more capable than a Landrover? - We compared to stock of course - and by ten fold, compared to an equally tricked up Landie - not much difference. You can always go bigger, better, more expensive, but beyond a point that cease to matter and it's down to the driver and winchman
