Starting Problem

Remote won't work and neither will car. Assumed flat battery but not so - when on charger, gauge fluctuates wildly, lights flash and alarm goes off. Any ideas? Thanks.

Battery only 3 years old and car used often in past 4 weeks.

Hi, you’ve posted this in the e89 section instead of the e85 one
Ps, I noticed an earlier post of yours was for very similar/identical issues, did replacing the battery cure it then?

Hi Rob,

Sorry about misleading post - yes I think it's an E85. Checked past history and discovered it was 5 years ago battery was replaced so it's obviously knackered! Amazing how time flies when I thought it was only 3 years ago!
