Hi all., my coupe has done few very few miles recently and lives in an air chamber, i have often wondered if these chambers whilst great to stop condensation sometimes dry stuff out almost too much as i have experienced sticky rear brake, on the coupe and also sticky starter on my beach buggy and handbrake since i put it in the chamber.
I have noticed the last couple of times i have gone to start the bmw that when i turn the key it is as if the battery is dead although its on a ctek type trickle charger and conditioner. If i then turn the key again then it fires up as normal and is fine. This may happen for half a dozen starts during a trip out then it is fine and starts firs try after that. I am thinking sticky starter or solenoid possibly, there is no click though that you may associate with a dodgy starter. The fact that it seems to be fine again after a few starts makes me think it is because it has been standing. Or that the chamber is drying stuff out too much. Anyone else had this experience either in or out of an airchamber or have any idea where i should be looking for the cause. Many thanks.
