It's a pretty easy job to be fair. Just make sure you have a 10mm or 13mm ratchet spanner, can't remember which. Ratchet spanner makes its so much easier than a socket or anything else.
Disconnect battery
Remove the 3 bolts that hold starter in place.
Wiggle it free
Disconnect the 3 cables then it's out.

But it's not easy to get to. I think you have to go from underneath?
(when I refurbishd mine half my engine was lying apart so accesibility was no issue back then)
If my memory recalls correctly it's held in place with inverse trox bolts, so you need E sockets.

It's very easy, all done from the top and takes an hour.
Nothing hard, don't forget to disconnect the battery.

I swapped mine out when I had the intake manifold off. Didn't look like it was easy to get to from the top with the mani on...?

From below is easy I think. When you have your car on the lift. With the bottom plate removed you have direct vision I think, also on the leads etc.
When you dont have a lift nothing is easy from below....
TIS says you have to remove the air filter box if done from above
Apparently you can reach for it from under the manifold? (I dont know, I havent had an original manifold on the car since 5 years or so, so I dont remember)
With a big ass twinscrew in place from above is not so easy
(although generally everything on the intake side is much easier to reach than on the exhaust side. Especially on a UK car with steering and braking also on the exhaust side! That might also be a big difference)
