Hi guys

Tried the search but cannot find a guide to removing and replacing a starter motor on a 2.2.

I had a bit of an accident with the door and have had the car parked up for over two weeks and now the starter will not engage. No click no dimming of interior lights or dash lights so assuming the starter solenoid is at fault.

Any help ?

Hi bud,
Had the same issue 6 mth ago, tapping it didnt work ended up changing the unit,
Its held on by two torx type bolts , disconnect the battery first tho, then there's a couple of terminals with about 4 wires on take em off , and tap an wiggle it about an it will come out,
Biggest prob I had was actually finding it, on mine 03, 3ltr auto it is located at the rear top of the engine on passengers side, got a recon unit from europarts,

Try charging the battery up , if it's been sitting for two weeks that what I would try first or get a jump start !
