Starter motor z4 3.0si roadster

Guys my car wouldn’t start recovery bloke said the starter motor is at fault. No clicking turning no nothing. Is there a go to replacement brand ie Bosch?
Any advice would be great.

I'm not an expert on the matter but I purchased a Hella one for my 3.0i last September and it's going okay still, different engine though. I think the Bosch ones on Autodoc are refurb units from memory and you need to return your own starter motor as part of the price

That's correct. When I bought a refurbished Bosch one from Autodoc I found that the cost of posting the old starter motor to Germany wasn't worth it, so kept the old one which was still working, just seemed a little slow. Probably needs a clean and tidy up. The one that I took off was made by Denso. AFAIK they are the OEM.
