I replaced my starter only to find out that the key was the problem. The vehicle it came out of is a 2003 3.0i with SMG. The starter was installed before I bought the car last year and was refurbished when installed. It worked fine though. If you are in the US and need a cheap starter please email me through this website and let me know. I can sell it to you cheap.
