I just like my tech stuff...I've got 2 iPad 4's....just had to have the first launch one and then the 3G came out a month after...couldn't help myself :|

:sweetheart: What's the story behind the ships?
My office is in Bristol, which has quite the shipbuilding history so wanted a nautical theme and I absolutely love the J boats from the 1930's, sleek and elegant. When I left my last company I had to fill 6 months gardening leave before starting my new job, so I built the model boat to my right, which is the 1934 Endeavour 1:35 scale, by Amati, and is about 115 cm long, the picture you see behind me is the actual boat in action.

I was an ipad/iphone combo user until this time last year, when i started to get annoyed with the lack of progress being made with iOS compared to Android and the fact that the galaxy s2 camera was so much better than my iphone 4. I got a galaxy s2 in November 11, and loved it, then i had the original note in December, kept that until the galaxy s3 came out and got that, and now i've got the note 2.
I found as soon as i had the note that i didnt use the ipad at all, i could just do everything on the note. Then i picked up the ipad again when i had the s3 as the phone screen is a little small for some things, now i've got the note 2 i sold the iPad..... I think modern android is easily ahead on features over iOS. i just find it nicer to use. iOS is way simpler though, so i can see why its so successful, as the majority of people its fine. horses for courses!
I have an iphone 5 as my work mobile, and i just find it way too restrictive and not customisable the way i want it to be. strange how things change, until recently the iphone was streets ahead....

That's an interesting site. I noticed that you chose one with the "highest difficulty level" - Don't think most of us would be up to that.sars said:

The hardest part in building the boat was planking the hull, which is fiddly and time consuming. After completing the second layer, it's a just a case of sanding smooth, then filling and sanding again.
As for the difficulty level, I'm really good at following instructions and believe that you can do pretty much anything if you put your mind to it.
No idea where the J comes from or what it refers to apart from the class designation
